BADGER
Badger DAO is a decentralized autonomous organization built on the Ethereum blockchain that focuses on bringing Bitcoin to DeFi through various wrapped Bitcoin products and yield farming strategies. The primary token, BADGER, serves as the governance token for the protocol, allowing holders to participate in voting on proposals that shape the direction of the ecosystem. The protocol enables users to earn yield on Bitcoin holdings by depositing wrapped Bitcoin (such as wBTC) into Badger's smart contracts, which automatically optimize rewards across different DeFi platforms through a process known as "sett" strategies. BADGER is notable for its emphasis on bridging the traditionally separate Bitcoin and Ethereum DeFi ecosystems, allowing Bitcoin holders to access decentralized finance opportunities without converting their assets to other cryptocurrencies. The token launched in 2020 and has become significant in the yield farming and Bitcoin DeFi space, offering governance rights and direct participation in protocol revenues to token holders through fee sharing mechanisms. Beyond governance, BADGER tokens are used for incentivizing liquidity providers and rewarding users who participate in the protocol's various vaults and farming opportunities.
