TRB

Tributes (TRB) is the native cryptocurrency and governance token of the Tellor network, a decentralized oracle protocol designed to bring off-chain data onto blockchain networks in a trustless and transparent manner. Tellor enables smart contracts to access real-world information such as price feeds, weather data, and other external data points that are essential for many blockchain applications but are not natively available on-chain. The network operates through a proof-of-work mechanism where token holders, known as reporters, compete to provide accurate data by submitting answers to data queries and staking TRB tokens as collateral. TRB serves multiple functions within the ecosystem: it incentivizes honest reporting through rewards, secures the network by requiring stake commitments, and grants holders governance rights to propose and vote on protocol changes and parameter adjustments.
